HOMEOWNER GUIDE
Roof warning signs worth a closer look.
What to note before you arrange a professional inspection.

Look from a safe place
Stay on the ground. Look for missing or visibly damaged shingles, and note any new water stains indoors. Take photos of what you can safely see.
Keep a short record
Write down when you noticed the problem and whether it followed a storm. Gather any existing installation, repair, and warranty paperwork for the inspection.
Avoid deciding from a photo alone
A visible issue does not automatically mean the entire roof needs replacing. Ask a qualified roofer to assess the condition and explain repair and replacement options.
Know what you are agreeing to
Request the scope of work in writing, including materials, cleanup, schedule, and payment terms. Ask how unexpected findings will be handled before work begins.
